Running for Paul 4 months ago

The run this year is September 13. I am not a professional runner but I want to do this for my friend Paul. He has cancer and has just been diagnosed as terminal. This disease ruins so many lives and we need to work together to beat it.
I have signed up and am now gathering pledges. I hope Paul will be able to be at the finish line on race day.

NaNoWriMo 12 months ago

I joined this site (National Novel Writing Month)
The idea is to write a 50,000 word novel in the month of November. Most people who try to write a book and fail do so because they try right off the bat for a perfect draft. The idea behind a month long novel is to get a rough, rough first draft. To get all your ideas on paper and out of your head. After November it can be cleaned up as much as you want. I have started mine and my word count is at about 2000 after one day. I am going to work on it right now!

To live instead of exist
I won't let fear stop me... 14 months ago

I am terrified of flying, among a ton of other things. Flying utterly terrifies me…to the point I missed my older brothers wedding because it involved a 14 hour plane trip to Argentina. So I decided to do something about it. I took an online course to help me get over my fear and while I am not cured, I feel 90% better about it. I am leaving on Sunday for a 6 hour plane ride to British Columbia and I am actually more excited than nervous!

I will no longer allow my fear to rule my life and prevent me from living it the way I want. There is a long way before this goal is complete but this was a big step for me!
