Yesterday I signed up on postcrossing.com, and I’m already in little happy fits over the possibilities: snail mail returns!
Shari's Life List
Moving to Vegas was one of the best decisions I ever made. Having something to do or see 24/7 is great for a restless person like myself, but there’s so much more. Anyone who thinks Las Vegas is devoid of culture must simply be disappointed that the area doesn’t have the specific kind of culture they prefer.
I especially enjoy being a short drive from Red Rock Canyon, Mt. Charleston, Lake Mead, the Guggenheim, Avenue Q and several other fantastic shows, loads of geocaches, fine dining and/or fun/experimental buffets, and yes – all those twinkling lights.
Things like traffic and rudeness are relative – I’ve lived in Houston, so LV is sweetness and light after that. :) It’s also nice to be part of a population that’s largely here by choice, not habit. No, it isn’t for everyone, and I used to think it wouldn’t be for me (I hate heat and love lots of greenery), but it’s turned out to be a nice, normal city that offers ever-changing opportunity and adventure on an as-desired basis.
