My hubby & I sat down yesterday and came up with morning, afternoon, and evening routines. He even came up with some for himself. This morning, as my son was working on his routine, Baby Girl started crying because she wanted a job too. Hopefully we’ll all be able to keep it up and encourage each other.

How I did it: I think the secret is trying to get up at the same time every day. While I don't actually get up at 5:00 every single day, I do on most, and even on the ones I don't I'm still getting up pretty dang early. Also, knowing that it's the only time in the day I can have some alone time is a pretty good motivator. Read how I did it…
Been awhile. But I’m still here and still trying to fly!
Last week I started working with my son to develop an after-school routine. It developed out of me being tired of finding rotting food in his lunchbox. Now when he comes home, he cleans out his lunchbox, puts papers from school on the table, and feeds the dog. Not bad for a kindergartner! I’m at work when all this happens, but I’ve been calling to check in and he’s been so proud of remembering everything on his list.
I think I’ll start adding more to it little by little. Who knows…before long he might be cleaning the whole house! :)
1. Sexy toes and soft feet.
2. Dinner made when I walked in the door.
3. Baby Girl made it through the day in underwear. One of the many joys of potty training.
4. Neighbors invited D over to play, which made for a quiet, restful evening. Baby Girl and I sat at the table and worked on art projects.
5. I booked the hotel for my trip to San Diego. I can’t wait!
