After having brain surgery in 1990, I have no organizational skills. That part of the brain was removed. I’m receiving several emails about organization and tips, and when I have spare money, I buy the things I need to get organized. My goal is to have my apartment organized and rearraged enough to be able to have company over and more than just one chair fit in my apartment. It will take time, but it will happen.

How I did it: SparkPeople.com was the biggest help. My family doctor was a great motivator and guide. I learned the proper nutrition rules and how to change my eating without making it boring. I let my doctor choose which exercises were best for me and I followed his advice. I blogged on the site daily and became a leader. Helping others keeps me on my toes. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I have 33 medical conditions and will always have extra weight, but I learned that so long as I exercise daily, eat properly and keep a positive outlook on life, I am doing the best I can. I'm now leading teams for the website. Read how I did it…

I’ve learned much over the last 19 years and I love to share that information. Some of it is Christian, some of it is self-help. I will do what I can, when I can and where I can when I am asked. I will not push, but wait for people to come to me. I have done that and the results are overwhelmingly positive and rewarding.
it is doable!
I take my meds as prescribed, I get a good amount of exercise according to my ability and my doctor’s approval, I do not bring junk food into my home and I attend support groups to gain a healthier attitude about me and life. I go to church and fellowship with people who believe what I do. I spend time with my cat and enjoy rest and relaxation. There are many things I can do, it is just putting them into practice that I need to do.
