Finally feel like i’m getting somewhere when I sprain my ankle at the weekend, figure it’s not so bad so it’ll be okay and then run five miles on it then play in a rugby tournament.
Bad choice I guess
Now i’ve had to take a week out and let it heal up a bit, moved back home and dont have any running buddies and any clue where to run, totally in need of a bit of inspiration or anti-lazy tablets

How I did it: I didn't do enough training, thats for sure.Signed up for the marathon just before christmas, but it took me until 3 months before it to start training. Went for many short runs in the first few weeks then had lots of coursework and exams so exchanged that for one or two long runs.I trained on a hillier route than the actual marathon one which helped, still managing to run up hills when others are like "oh no!" is a great morale boo… Read how I did it…
How I did it: Looked at pictures on the internet and brought one into the hairdresser. Had to convince her that in fact I was not going through some emotional breakdown or crisis and just wanted a haircut lol Read how I did it…
Oh boy I’m such an idiot, signed up for this before christmas! And yet here I am starting my training yesterday (crap lol)
Managed a 30min run yesterday with a friend and was aiming for 45mins today but ended up doing 55.
Trying to decide whether to have a ‘rest’ day tomorrow or not, since i’ve got rugby practice anyway.
I wish I could start it all again and start sooner! :o
So I’ve entered the Edinburgh marathon on behalf of Erskine, 4 months left to train.
Ahhh I hadn’t said that out loud before now,.. definitely time to start training!
