It’s been a year since I started training for parkour. My body looks…well, pretty damn good.I run about 6 km a day, then I do 1 hour of power training for my upper body.EVERY DAY!(okay, not EVERY day,I take a one day break every 2 weeks or so)The point I am trying to make is that it takes a lot of EFFORT to get good at this.I just read above that the average time to complete this goal is 2 days. That is just Bull$*%#!Like with any other skill,to really get good at it you need to work hard to get better and somehow I just don’t see two days as being anywhere near enough to get even a basic understanding of the sport(or art in motion,as some would call it :-)

About one week passed since I started doing this and I am getting pretty damn good at it.I can throw and hit 9/10 times from about 4 meters, about 5/10 times from 6 meters and I even got one from 10 meters.I am very close to calling this one done since I now understand the general concepts that govern knife-throwing and am able with a few throws to fine-tune my ability to throw accurately. So,to anybody feeling like giving it a shot write to me and I’ll give you a crash-course in what I picked up through trial and error.Who knows,it might help you.
It’s damn hard but I managed to lose a couple of my bad habits like not going to bed until 4:00am,being unorganized, lazy,a chronic daydreamer(I’m actually sitll working on that),not punctual, impolite, undisciplined(still working on that too).I’ve achieved all of this in a month.I think that for a person like me,that’s pretty impressive. There I am,patting myself on the back again.Sorry about that.Anyway I am still a long, long way from achieving this goal but just having started makes me feel good.
