I became a Flight Attendant in exactly 4 weeks time. Three of those weeks were part of the training process that the company makes you go through to become certified, so if you don’t count that it took me 1 week from the time I put in my application with the company until the time they said, “You are hired”.
Becoming a FA is one of the greatest things that has ever happened to me. It really is something that just seems to be something I was made to do. So far, I love it and it is worth all the crap I have to go through to make it work. It is really a lot of fun, and it makes you feel like someone, not a nobody.
For those of you that are interested in becoming a FA. I’m here to tell you how you can get started. BTW the company I work for is Colgan Air, a family company that is contracted by US Airways to do shuttle flights. It may be a small company, but by no means does it make your job any less than another FA.
