Adopting a pet is one of the best things you can do for yourself and for the animal. My husband and I have adopted both a cat and a dog in the last few years. Once we have a bigger place, we’ll be adopting more. Both of our pets are awesome, and we have the satisfaction of knowing we gave them a good home when no one else wanted them.

I’d wanted my eyebrow pierced for 9 years. I got pregnant, had my son, then developed a panic and anxiety disorder that prevented me from traveling very far…and let’s not talk about how my nerves would’ve handled traveling AND getting a piece of metal jabbed through my face.
My anxiety disorder has subsided a bit (I have more control, as well), and we live closer to a reputable piercing/tattoo studio. So one day, my husband said, “Let’s go and get your eyebrow pierced”. So I did. Try and find a reputable place that welcomes walk-ins…I don’t know about any of you, but making an appointment to get it done just wouldn’t have worked. It either had to be spontaneous or not at all.
It doesn’t really hurt much. And I had to have mine done twice…in a sense. He had me take a deep breath, and when I let it out, he pushed the needle up through the skin. It just felt like a pinch, then there was a slight burning sensation. The first barbell he used was too short, so he had to take it out and put in a longer one. But after the initial piercing, him putting the second barbell in didn’t hurt at all.
Those endorphins are lovely, however. I walked out of there feeling like I could take on the world, haha.
The only thing that makes it a bit of a pain is the healing process. I have to wash it with antibacterial soap when I get up, then soak it in warm sea salt water for 7-10 minutes before going to bed. This is recommended for 2-3 months. I can’t change the jewelry until the piercing his healed, either.
After 9 years, I finally got my eyebrow pierced. It didn’t hurt as bad as I’d feared it would, and I definitely don’t regret it.
