Here’s how it happened:
My Choir teacher, Mr Wilds, asked for six people to please move the grand piano in the auditorium up to his choir space, (since the normal upright piano happened to be onstage for the school’s performance of The Melody Lingers On: A musical review of Irving Berlin, which is an excellent musical and, if I do say so myself, was done smashingly well, but I digress) so five of the big, brawny bass dudes jumped up, and me, the sopranalto. We moved it in a very well way. When we got up there, Mr Wilds played a few keys and grimaced. “The school needs to get rid of this piece, and get a new one.”
At this point an idea began forming in my mind.
“Can’t the school just have it fixed?” a girl asked.
“Well, no. You see, we’ve looked into it, and the amount of money that we would require to fix it could basically buy a new piano.”
The idea squirmed around. I had to spit it out!
“You know,” I casually commented, “It’d be cool if we could gut the piano and do something to the inside of it. Y’know, like maybe put plants inside of it, or a water fountain, and then put it in the lobby.”
At this, the classroom exploded in a frenzied roar of ideas and pleas. And I sat back, comforted by having dicovered the true meaning of my life: I am going to turn disrepaired pianos and musical instruments into ART! Just think: A psychedelic-painted piano that doubles as a fishtank! Petunias growing from an etched french horn! Paper mache volcanos sprouting from drumsets! I have some GREAT ideas written down for this piano, if I can persuade the school to let me have it.
So, is this cool, or what?

I’ve been reading a book, and it has a detailed description of how to manipulate people. I’m going to try it.

Our talent show is coming up soon, and though I don’t know what I’ll do, I am getting REALLY excited@
