How I did it: I read reviews of perfumes and ordered samples of things that sounded appealing to me from The Perfumed Court. I also tried a couple of fragrances at random at a department store. I made notes of everything I tried out...but when I found the right one, I knew it was the one.Paying attention to different scents made me more aware of scent in my everyday life. I enjoyed the experience, and the new fragrance will bring me a lot of pleasure e… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I wrote a romance about a haunted house in Chicago, revised it, and pitched it to a prominent agent at the Romance Writers of America national conference. When she asked for a full manuscript, I revised the whole thing again and then sent it. She said she wanted to represent it, and I was overjoyed!Well, after that, nothing happened. How I did it: We had never adopted a rescue pup before, but we went to our local shelter and met some dogs. Dude, you rock so hard. This story is AMAZING, and I can’t WAIT to show readers!! Seriously. :D
Yayyy! I’m done I’m done! This week I am just being footloose and fancy free. Next week, it’s back to working my ass off on writing!
Last week before I sent my edits off, I double-checked them and found most of my edits missing from my saved doc. It devastated me, but I resigned myself to redoing all of them. At least it would be easier the second time around, right?
But then I found a draft with most of the edits intact. I had messed some things up by not saving versions under the right names. I did have to send the edits to my editor in two chunks, which upset me, but if my editor was mad, I didn’t hear about it.
I have a second, small round of edits to do now. I wish I had caught everything in the first round! I tried! But I’ll get these back to her on time.
