Arrgh… Today I’m coming to my translation class prepared for the test in banking and what should I get but a test not merely in banking material but in all the stuff we’ve covered in the past term!!! Boy did I see red!!! I returned the answer sheet completely blank and while everybody around me was sweatblooding over the test I bit into Toni Morrison’s Playing in the Dark. Good thing I did, cuz she was just talking about my favorite Hemingway and the way he uses black Africanist presence in His fiction… nothing better than reading about a book you have actually read. Plus… Nobody did especially good in the test and we’re retaking it in two weeks’ time :) Conclusion: read whenever you can :)

After reading “For whom the bell tolls”, besides falling in love with Hemingway, I got this crazy idea I wanted to get my hair shaven just like Maria had hers. And I did, eventually. I loved it and kept cutting it for two years, and now I’m back to the standard medium length. It’s great fun playing with your image. Just do it.
lucky you!!!
