I’ve been working on the singing thing and I have this problem with stage fright, but I’ve figured out it kind of goes away when I hold/pretend to play a guitar. I think this is because I don’t have to look directly at people and I have something to do with my hands.
I already have one guitar gathering dust in my room and a brother with two guitars and a little bit of talent. So I really have ran out of excuses not to achieve this goal this year. :)

How I did it: Some of my lovely friends had bought me tattoo vouchers for presents before so I had a few going in today to get my first one. I was SO NERVOUS, my tattoo artist was lovely (and quite good looking) so that helped loads. It took about 35-40 minutes altogether. It was not as painful as I thought it would be either, it was sore, but not as bad as I have been told. It is a sparrow which is all black and white. Its beautiful :) So ha… Read how I did it…
How I did it: On my J1 in San Diego, a 21 year old student, young, spontaneous, living for the moment type of life, we just had to give Tijuana a go while we had the opportunity. We were on a very strict budget at the time, as every student traveler is the same, so we didn't really have enough money to really see 'Mexico'.Instead, our trips to Tijuana once every few weeks was a real eye opener. Tijuana in my eyes was a completely crazy place,… Read how I did it…
How I did it: While on a J1 with one of my college friends, Katie...(a J1 is a program in Ireland for college students to go abroad for 3 months and work, I went to San Diego) we saw that Warped tour tickets were available to us. We both had always wanted to go as we both were big into the punk rock scene all our lives, and now at age 22 and 23 we finally had the chance to go, it was a pretty big deal to us. So when in our apartment in Claire… Read how I did it…

I am now 22 without a driving licence, relying on the parental unit and my brother to do me the honor of getting me from A to B. So this is one of the things that is pretty high on my list of priorities at the moment. First step is sitting a theory test. IMHO-the most difficult part since it involves studying. Studying and I do not go very well together.
So on Monday morning I found out that two of my work colleagues were heading to Belfast to see 30stm. They had no idea how much I would love to go with them, but when they found out we immidiately went about trying to get me a ticket and some accomodation, as they had already organised this weeks in advance and the gig was the NEXT DAY.
I try to be a little bit more spontaneous so why not? Even though the concert was practically in another country and a four hour journey from where I live, you only live once.
So I found a girl on a 30stm blog selling a ticket who said she would meet me at the gate to give me the ticket…good enough for me.
I went to the hostel site where my friends had booked their accommodation to see if I could somehow get a bed hours before I intended to arrive, which worked out perfectly!!
ROAD TRIP!!!
We drove to Belfast city, checked in our stuff, ended up getting a room all together (with another 6 people too but that sort of thing doesn’t bother me) met the girl with my ticket, her name was Ruth, such a nice woman, she went for a few pints with us before the gig.
Everything worked out perfectly, all after a days organisation.
You Me At Six supported this time, AMAZING…and needless to say 30 seconds never failed to impress. :)
