How I did it: Self- confidence was always there, I just didn't see it. All I needed was a click of the switch...you know, turn it ON. How I did it: I did the walk with my 10 year old son and it was great to seeing him motivated to help others. It was mostly great to see him realize that what he was doing was so valuable. He didn't understand what a difference ONE person makes. Now he does.It didn't matter that we didn't walk all 12 hours, we took breaks, sang songs, made a party out of it. My x-rays and exam went well, but because my gum disease is so advanced they have to put me to sleep to clean my teeth. They’ll do that on September 14. I’m looking forward to it. Three months after that, they’ll check to see if there’s anything else they need to do.
