I used to be safely ahead of most of my peers at one point (most considered me the “smart” guy), but I let that go to my head and slept on my laurels.
It’s time to elevate myself to the next level, so I can experience that feeling again.
I guess balanced study of a number of subjects will be the way forward.
As shallow as it sounds, I want to learn this mainly for entertainment purposes (reading the text in video games). But apart from that, I find learning Kanji a very interesting and fascinating experience!!!
This goal may not be as strong as some of the other ones, since I am focusing on German first (must learn due to cultural/heritage reasons).
It’s said to be a well-rounded student, you should be at least bilingual. I want to top this by learning at least 3 languages!!! (not to mention I love languages, so this will be fun).
My three languages will be: English (got that down :)), German (getting a lot better, though not at speaking), and Spanish (am beginning to rigorously work on vocabulary and basic grammar).
