After working in an under-served community and not fully grasping why things were the way they were I decided to do an americorps program that would give me perspective on some of the social ills facing our cities. I worked in a West Philadelphia School and can honestly say I wouldn’t change my experience for anything. I met so many wonderful students (and teachers) who given the right foundation can make a huge impact on the communities they live in. If you have any questions about service or Americorps programs feel free to send me a message.

How I did it: It took awhile for me to find a job (and later to find suitable housing) but it was definitely worth it. I wouldn't listen to all of what people say about certain parts of Philly. You have to visit to really know what a neighborhood is like. Mostly its a block by block change so while somewhere might have the reputation of being high crime its usually not every street in that neighborhood. I'm willing to answer any questions and help find… Read how I did it…
I dont think this is a real goal. Mostly because I’m not into acting/never acted before. It was on a commercial for something, a little girl was sitting at the breakfast table and her mom asked her about what she was going to do today. The girl gave a long answer ending with ‘then I’ll star in a indie flick to keep my street cred’, thats how this one came along.
Its the worse feeling ever. Imagine your sleeping peacefully. You begin to roll over, stretch slightly, suddenly you feel a gripping pain in your calf. Meet me, about a week ago. A horrible muscle cramp caused from lack of potassium, which helps do something or another to help your muscles contract. So I’ll eat more potassium, despite my hatred of the yellow beings. Anyone know any tasty sources of K?
