Chicken, Chips, Ice-Cream
At least I think it was chicken. Now I’m not sure. In any case, just add in what you want in the middle. :)
I want to learn to ballroom dance, yes I do, yes I do! And wear lovely shoes and simple yet elegant evening gowns.
I’d love to do this some day.
I seem to pick up on people’s feelings or unspoken thoughts. This becomes particularly useful when someone wants to say something, or get an idea across, but are having difficulty expressing themselves.
The downside is that when I see someone going through a particular emotion, any emotion, I tend to get this huge wave of the same thing that comes crashing down on me. So after dealing with the initial shock, I then have to deal with this powerful emotion that I personally have no reason to be feeling at that moment. I can’t begin to explain how tiring it is.
I guess all skills, talents and gifts, can have both good and bad effects, it all depends on how you choose to use them.
I can hardly believe it. This has been one of my goals for so long!
Now with the help of my sister Saffy, our LiveJournal shop Saffy & Jo’s Cute Sales is at last open for business.
We even have a cute banner! :D
I shared it with my sister on the 27th of January 2009. And let me tell one this… Iit was delicious.
To actually “find” my artistic style, I think I’m going to need to first define what one’s artistic style is in the first place.
I have so many questions though, I don’t know where to start looking for answers, or at least clues of some kind.
Do we have one dominant artistic style all our life? Can we have several? Can they change over time? Do we just continue trying out new things until we hit something we love and that is unique? Then what? Practice and practice more to make it completely our own?
Maybe I should start by thinking about what I would like this goal to mean, and take it from there instead.
I would like:
- my style to be recognisable.
When you see something I’ve made, that you think “Oh that’s so and so’s style!” or “Hey, their copying thingy-bobs style, aren’t they?”
- my style to be unique.
It’s me. It’s a part of me. You can’t find exactly the same anywhere else.
- my style to come naturally to me without too much effort. xP
Oh and yet another question: does one’s artistic style differ depending on the medium used? Or is it something that’s consistent, no matter what tools are used?
My, oh my.. I sure have yet a long road to go before “finding my artistic style”!
Last night I made my first amigurumi crochet apple! Then early this morning I did another one (one that actually does look like an apple n_n; ), then finger-crocheted a long line of single crochet to attach the apple around my neck and have it as a pendant. And it looks so cute!
I’m really proud of myself for succeeding in following a pattern and doing something with crochet techniques. C:
A photo coming as soon as possible!
I can convince someone easily, even large groups of people. I so believe in what I’m saying that I can get that across and people trust me. This can also be dangerous if badly used, which is why I have to be extra careful that I have no doubt about what I share with others.
My fear is that I use this gift to manipulate people to do or say what I want. My Mum thinks that I have become so careful about what I do say that if ever something sounded manipulative, I would correct it immediately. I hope so. I don’t like living in fear of what I “could” do despite having firmly decided I don’t want to be that kind of person.
I did a bulk donation of 12 months to http://www.worldvision.co.uk. :D Yay! At last I got it done!
Meet Anne-Sophie, my first and only Pullip doll!
