after a week of being in the states, I found a bike trail that goes through a few cities. I’m excited to walk it. I haven’t yet, because i’ve been busy getting things together.

How I did it: I put in many applications, did follow up phone calls and kept at it. I found the places that accepted an online resume, a place were you could upload it or cut and paste it showed more interest than places where that wasn't an option. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I read a few 'how you did it posts'. I didn't really want to read what other people said made them happy, I wanted to know how they wrote it...I would credit someone with a name, but I can't find the post that inspired me. I first made a long post of the things that immediately came to mind, I then opened a Google Document, whipped up a cut 'n' paste edit session, put it in A->Z like someone said to do, and typed it up. I have it… Read how I did it…
How I did it: Put my stuff in storage, left my apartment and put myself, my boyfriend and my dog and cat on a plane.I had wanted to do it for years, but didn't know where or when, or how. While in school, I met my boyfriend, now fiance, who was moving. After I graduated, we thought the jobs would be better, he'd be able to get national health, and it would be good to be near his family. Read how I did it…

I added this goal thinking that it wouldn’t be possible for a while. I liked the idea of it after living in Spain where everyone seemed to walk everywhere. I thought that this would be a good thing to do, I had almost done it but ended up hitch hiking…
I just moved to this area and there is a bike trail that goes through a handful of areas, I thought they were just neighborhoods but it turns out they have mayors and town halls which makes them cities… Which means, I can follow this little trial and walk to a different city!!! maybe I’ll do this before the end of the year :)
When I’m around smokers, I want to smoke, when I’m around food, I want to eat.
I am cutting carbs out. today’s the first day. I’m hoping that the lack of carbs will lead to me keeping my skinny. the last week I haven’t eaten much, I haven’t eaten enough and I’ve been eating lots of snacks instead of real meals.
I’m still eating my mints. when I run out, I’ll get sugar free mints, which should be good for my teeth too :)
eventually I’ll do some weights but one step at a time… that is to not have the ‘quitting smoking’ thing make me unhealthy in other ways. I know that there are things that I got out of smoking not many of them are healthy, but my goal is to recognize them and find possibly substitutes, possibly healthier.
