Traditionally I am horrible with imposed guidelines, and I suppose this idea wasn’t any different. In that spirit, I have decided that a list isn’t for a whimsical reader such as myself. It was too much like school, when I had to read something instead of what I wanted to read at that very moment.
Oh well. Perhaps someday I’ll respond positively to a self-imposed reading list.

Nothing makes me want to punch my dog more than when she rockets out of the yard and launches herself into people, places, or things that aren’t hers. That’s not true, I actually get pretty pissed when she rummages through the trash or partakes of the used cat litter. Regardless, her issue with the property boundaries are painfully aggravating and I’m tired of yelling at her incessantly. The entire neighbourhood knows her fricking name.
I dislike the idea of electric fences… at least, I dislike the notion when she’s not running across the street, alley, or into somebody else’s yard—tongue hanging out complete with stupid expression. So, because my more rational self objects to training in that manner, I’ve opted to take the hard route to avoid electrocuting my dog or offending her hearing with horrible high-pitched sounds. Other than my yelling. My yelling is probably going to be on the list, though I know it shouldn’t be. Some might argue that my mouth needs boundary training, but I would argue those same people need their lips pinched.
This is my initial source: Best Friends Pet Care. I am sure that I will likely need another reference, because Skye is a golden retriever, and they are notorious people dogs.
Also: that indoor boundaries thing isn’t such a bad idea either.
At any rate, all of this is probably much more beneficial to Skye and I than me bopping her knot head with a mean right hook.
(Please note, as some people FAIL at sarcasm: I have never punched my dog. Or my cats. Random babies? Sure. But pets? NEVER!)

While I wouldn’t dream of claiming to speak French fluently, I do at least have basic French mostly under my belt—and I have the effin’ credit hours to prove it. Unfortunately, the books used for my FRH 114 course and my FRH 115 course were different. Very different. Both authors used differing styles and introduced material in different sections. I officially have something of a gap in my tense work.
I am going to take a break from French for Irish (still not Gaelic – because that’s the family of languages that Irish falls into – still definitely Irish). For the time, I am all Frenched out.
