I love Tiki culture, but I’ve quit drinking. I’ve been trying to find recipes for non-alcoholic tropical drinks that don’t taste like a syrupy glass of juice. The thing about the booze is, it adds that “bite” that cuts the sweetness. What are the non-booze alternatives?

I find time alone very hard to come by, and yet it’s always been like oxygen to me. Lately it’s been occurring to me that, in solitude, I’m almost always in a state of “flow.” (Flow is when you’re so engaged in what you’re doing, you lose track of time.)
When I’m alone, I’m always deep in some creative project, deep in a flow-state. I wonder whether, if I could find flow with other people around me, it might give me the same restorative benefits I get from solidute.
I’ll explore this and report back . . . .
Here’s a little underground tactic to introduce new people to your website: print yourself up some business cards with your URL and a little description of the site.
Then, as you travel around the world, leave them in random spots—the restroom at the movie theater, at the coffee house, stuck into books at the bookstore. Stick them onto random bulletin boards. Visit places frequented by people who’d be interested in your site, and leave cards. The universe will make sure that a few like-minded souls find you.
