I’m taking better control of my money. I’m using savings accounts where I can’t touch the money for a year (and have to pay in to each month) and then at the end of the year I’m using the money saved to pay off debts. I’m also saving other money too in the hopes to go travelling next year… getting better, but not quite there yet!

How I did it: I took a day trip from NYC... a bit pricy at $490/£275 but well worth it... we went to the American Falls first and then Niagara (or Horseshoe) Fall second, stopping off at a couple of places on the way. After seeing the Canadian side we visited a couple of other places, such as the original site of the Falls, showing just how far it had eroded. Was fantastic! Read how I did it…
How I did it: I didn't do anything specific, just gave it time, and eventually I realised that I was comfortable with my scars. They are a part of me, and evidence of how far I've come since I was that unhappy that cutting was my way of escape. I am not necessarily comfortable with showing them to all my family and friends (although some are aware of them), but in myself I am fine with them, and, now, wouldn't get rid of them. It’s all booked and reconfirmed. I will be going on Wednesday and will be picked up from my hotel at 6.40am!!! Not looking forward to getting up that early whilst on holiday but nevermind! I have been told it’s absolutely spectacular so I can’t wait!
I was going to see it a couple of weeks ago, but the people I was going with bailed on me, so I decided that I am going to see it in IMAX 3D when I go to New York. So, hopefully, sometime next week, I shall be sat in the cinema watching it =c)
