I read James and the Giant Peach a week or so ago, and I finished 1984 this weekend.
James and the Giant Peach wasn’t very fun for me to read. Not because it’s a children’s book, but because it didn’t interest me. That and the pictures inside of the characters were kind of gross, especially ones of the Earthworm. It took a lot to force me to finish the whole thing.
1984, on the other hand, is now one of my favorite books. The ending confused me, and I don’t get O’Brien, but I loved, loved, loved this book. <3 The only things I didn't like about it were the mentions of violence, such as when there's a bombing and Winston sees someone's severed arm, or at the beginning when Winston recounted the movie he saw where people were being blown to pieces. I felt kind of sick at those parts. =/

1.) Let’s get the basics out of the way.
-My full name is Brittni Lee Bernadette (last name).
-I’m fifteen (at least at the time of writing this).
-My birthday is September 29th.
-I have really long (seriously, REALLY long) dark brown hair.
-I have green eyes, but most people think they’re brown for some reason.
-I wear glasses. I can’t wear contacts because I can’t stop blinking trying to get them in.
2.) I wear mostly skirts. I own only about two pairs of pants.
3.) I’m the shyest person in the world. Don’t believe me? Try this on for size: I block people on AIM when I can’t think of what to say to them. I get so nervous talking to people that I sometimes can’ thear what they’re saying, and I say something completely different from what they were talking about, making me look like a fool.
4.) A lot of people mistake my shyness for snobbishness. This is one of the things that makes me misunderstood.
5.) I prefer baths to showers.
6.) My two favorite colors are pink and black. The difference between the two sort of symbolizes the different sides of my personality.
7.) My first two loves were Cat and Dog from CatDog. And I still love them. :)
8.) I’ve had one boyfriend before, online, three years older than me. The relationship barely lasted a few weeks. I was fourteen at the time.
9.) There isn’t one day that goes by in which I am not worrying over something.
10.) When people tell me that I’m weird, it makes me smile.

Started reading two days ago because I was home from school again, and finished it today. I had been reading it when I was a lot younger, back in elementary school, but I quit with a few chapters to go because I wasn’t a horse person and it didn’t hold my interest. I’m still not a horse person to this day, but the book was okay.
