I love that I made the commitment to eat better and that I am accomplishing this every day!
I made this commitment years ago and have struggled and struggled over the years to get it right. I have never had a weight problem until the last 3 years, when age and undo stress contributed to my weight gain. And I was eating A LOT of food . . . so I made a new commitment to lose weight and through that process, really refined the way that I eat. I am eating better then ever in my life. Now I want to incorporate more organics but that’s a whole other goal!
I am proud of myself – and I’d love to help others eat better too!

I love what I do for a living. I am enriched every day by it. I wish everyone could find their niche and live it through their work.

I keep telling my husband that keeping our house clean is a matter of self-respect. And, when I clean up for him, I am telling him I love and respect him. I ask if he will do the same for me. My husband says: we LIVE in a home, not a showcase; we “RALLY” when we need to get the house clean for company; we shouldn’t be worried about a glass here or there, or dust here or there. But I do! Cleanliness means CALM to me.
And, when the kids don’t clean up after themselves, I ask them if they respect us – and tell them that cleaning up after themselves is a show of respect for themselves, for us, for the home we live in. They look at me as if I am from a different planet but they pick up what I ask them to . . .
But I don’t like feeling tension about this issue of cleaning up after themselves. Its not healthy. It promotes competition, resentment, jealously – all bad things.
So . . . I am just going to pick things up when I see them awry, and clean the kitchen after each meal, even though I cook ALL the meals . . . (!!). I believe that by this example my family with begin cleaning up more after themselves and they will begin to see how nice it is for things to be picked up on a regular basis. They will like this feeling and want to have more of it – so they will naturally clean things up.
This I believe!
