I got my first one almost 13 years ago to this day. And I still love it. I have 3 now. And I’d like 1 more before I stop. Maybe on a milestone birthday. Just to finish the job.
I waited until my 18th birthday to get mine. I got another on the eve of my 21st And I got another in Greece when I was 25.
I designed all 3 of mine myself. So that art degree was worth something then.

I wrote a few about 10 years ago. Even got into some big companies production offices to pitch and be interviewed. It never worked out though and I spent 5-6 years writing more and more stuff without ever making money at it.
I enjoyed it a lot. Learned the craft. Read a lot of very helpful books. But In the end life caught up with me and I had to go and get a real job/pay my way… My spark sort of died out.
But I’m very pleased I did it. And Doug Liman is a very nice man.

I did a lot of traveling alone in the 90’s. I saw some great gigs, Went to some great cities and got into some interesting situations. I still prefer to go to Festivals, Exhibitions and Movies alone as in a group you all have to dilute your enjoyment and compromise what you do and see a little
