How I did it: I ordered henna from Mehandi.com, to ensure that I had 100% pure BAQ [body art quality] henna. Instead of doing a full-head application, I made a henna gloss by mixing henna paste with conditioner, half-and-half. I mixed the henna paste with lemon juice, and let it sit in a warm spot for 5 hours. I left the mixture in for 40 minutes, and then rinsed out in the shower. How I did it: I ordered 100% pure BAQ henna from Mehandi.com. I made a gloss instead of doing a full-head application, and mixed henna paste with conditioner, half-and-half. I left it on for 40 minutes [I didn't want to go TOO red], and it washed out clean in the shower, no fuss. How I did it: I started growing my nails out after the acrylics I wore for prom were taken off. My nails were completely destroyed, and waiting for the damage to grow out was a long and impatient process.
