Today is the first scheduled run day I have missed in 2 and a half months. I have come down with a virus which really sucks.
Won’t be running again for the rest of this week but will get back into it next week (Monday 24).

Felt really good today. Managed for the first time to keep up a good pace for the entire workout. Fitness is definitely improving.
Am going to bed in a few minutes. Am really tired for some reason. Really glad I don’t have to get up and run tomorrow :)
Hopefully will have more energy on Friday for the last run if the week.
Just take a look at this:

BOOM!
Completed.
30 minutes.
I ran a bit harder this time, which was the plan. My heart rate stayed about 165-170. So was working hard. It hurt, but felt great. Am feeling my fitness is starting to come together more.
Last minute I really sprinted hard. As hard as I could. Was surprised I had so much left in the tank! Was able to really push out a quick sprint at the end which was nice.
Ended up using the week 9 c25k podcast. Really need to get some of my own music on my Ipod and run to a watch.
Am looking forward to my next run tomorrow.
Continuing on from the c25k program I am going to continue to run for 30 minutes 3 times per week, with a 5 minute warm-up walk and 5 minute cool down walk.
Will try to increase my pace as the month goes on (just judging subjectively for now).
Let’s go. First run today.
Completed.
The very last run of the c25k completed!
It has been quite a journey. Looking back at my first entries on this program, I can’t believe how far I have come. I am fitter and healthier than I can remember being.
On today’s run my legs still hurt but I was able to pick up the pace.
I am going to continue doing 3×30 minute runs per week and trying to increase the pace each month.
:)
Can’t believe that tomorrow is the last run of the c25k program! I have tried twice before to finish the program but never did. But I am determined to finish this time!
Can’t believe how far I have come.
Am planning to continue running a schedule of 3×30 minute runs per week to my own music, with a 5 minute warm up and cool down walk. Even if I just continue like this forever I will be very happy.
But I may (in time) try to increase my speed or push the distance a bit.
Who knows?
:)
But just wanted to write that I have started to think about my new year’s resolutions.
I really want to have a big year and achieve a lot in 2013. That said, I have so many interests and hobbies I know I should probably pick one thing and focus on it like a laser until it is mastered.
But how do people d that? There is so much in the world to do!!
Completed.
Second last run of the program. Still can’t believe I have made it this far.
Today my legs (and back to some degree) were really still and burning. Cardio was fine and recovery in that department was very fast.
Guess my legs still need to build some strength for this distance.
Last run on Friday. Will make it count!!
Still on the Internet a lot. It really is pretty productive time from a personal development and learning perspective, and it is loads of fun. But goals don’t get achieved directly through this time!!
Completed.
I must admit this was quite tough. Only two minutes longer but I really slowed to a shuffle at a few points during the run. Working against me was the time I ran (ran in the afternoon and not the morning due to scheduling conflict, and it was quite warm. I am used to running in the morning when it is cool), the fact I had eaten quite a lot only a few hours before, and that I did not have a lot of sleep the past few nights.
But anyways, these are all just lame excuses.
In the end I made it a full 30 minutes! I still can’t believe the c25k has made this possible. In week one I thought I would die from running a few 1 minute bursts!
This program really works.
:)
