Marriage by far is the most rotten, amazing, heart breaking, uplifting, easy, incredibly difficult, dull and exciting adventure you will ever have in your life.

And I highly recommend it.

Love is a decision NOT an emotion. The love and lust will fade from time to time, don’t fear it, that’s normal :) Because if you truly want it, you’ll find a way to keep it.

10 years and counting here. I still swoon when he walks in the door, he still fills up the gas tank so I don’t have too. I don’t put mustard on his dogs, he doesn’t put ice in my drinks. We both put the toilet seat cover down and neither one of us care if the kitchen table is cluttered.

Love is a many splendid thing.

Two summers ago, the night I found this site it was 3am or round abouts. It was horribly humid and hot outside, I was suffering from insominia of the net (I swear staying on the computer makes me stay awake longer). Finding all the people with hopes and goals made me feel conforted that I wasn’t alone in my dreams.

No lightening, no wind, just a solid rain, warm and comfortable. I stood in a puddle at the end of my driveway for about an hour reflecting on all the thing that had gone wrong in my life and how I had let them. I got my courage and ran upstairs and dragged my naked husband outside too (well he put some shorts on before he hit the front door) and we both sat in the rain talking and crying and laughing.

We jumped in the puddles around us splashing each other like children and then we danced. We had not slow danced for years, not because we didn’t’ want to or didn’t know how, but somehow life just always got in the way.

He hummed Singing in the Rain and I just cried feeling fresh and clean.

This is very much worth it to do on a summer night, where it is private and quite, no cars, no planes, nothing. Just you and the rain and maybe a loved one.

I love cleaning the closets and re-orgin them. It’s a nice break from the winter dull drums. Open up the windows let the break blow through while dumping the clothes on the bed and sorting out what you’re giving to charity!
