I made this goal about 6 years ago and when the opportunity came to actually go parasailing, I hesitated! I’m still glad I did it and it was a lot of fun. Parasailing over the beaches in Cabo is quite an experience.

It was so fun! Our trip was kind of rushed and we only had less than a week to drive from NJ to CA, but we did it and also got to see a few cool things along the way (i.e., Cadillac Ranch, the oldest house in the USA etc..).
Woowoo! It is not exactly the degree that I intended to get and I am also approximately $109k poorer… But that’s ok… I shall walk away with my really expensive piece of paper, which I will place in my really expensive cherry wood frame and never look back. Did I say walk? I meant run.
The finish line. Almost done! I’m graduating this May! =) But then I am applying to a different PhD program by this December
I am currently in a top rated graduate program (which will remain unspecified) at this school. Who knows… maybe it’s just the program that I am in, but I find the professors to be pompous, the tuition to be way too expensive for the minimal amount of education that I recieve, and too much politics and red tape to make this experience worth the stress and financial burden.
I watched the Arctic Monkeys live in NYC! They were awesome. I was really drunk and sweaty by the end of the show.
i wish i never sent him package after package of sex toys charged to his credit card. i was very amused at the time, but now we’re friends again and i sort of feel bad about it. he’s still trying to dispute the charge on his account. well…. i admit, i do get a chuckle out of it every now and again when i think about it. i guess that makes me a just a little bit evil?
Moved out about a month ago to go to graduate school on the other side of the country. Feels good to be independent, but feels painful on the checkbook.
didn’t really go all out and truly backpack. i don’t know if i am the actual backpacker type, but we did have backpacks. we went from london to amsterdam to venice to rome in two weeks. it was a pretty quick vacation, but we got through a lot. we stayed at one hostel in rome, but we didn’t do it the right way…. we rented a cabin with showers. haha but i had oh so much fun!
i quit my job a few weeks ago. i then went on a cruise to mexico and now i am planning a trip to italy…. life is good
i guess it could be worse for a first job, but our manager was actually an idiot. it was ok… i got to drink as much free coffee as i could during work. i also knew absolutely NOTHING about coffee and i would make stuff up when the customers would ask questions (“so you say you like a strong dark roast? i would recommend the sumatra… it is quite sharp on the whole of the palate as opposed to the edge of the palate?”)
but i folded all of my laundry. too bad i left it alone for so long that now my clothes will probably be wrinkled for months.
