I did this in 2004 also and was a delegate at 2 caucuses. I attended the 2004 Washington State Democratic Convention. It was a good experience, a good way to be involved in my country’s politics and democracy. I feel good about the democratic candidates for president this year so I’m planning to do it again.

It was very close there at the end. I read 2 books just on December 31st… kind of sad, but at least I made my goal. I noticed that over half of the books I read were children’s books which made them easier to get through. I figure since I’m an elementary school teacher, it’s okay. I averaged ~250 pages/book.
This year my goal is only for 40 books, so I can concentrate on reading more thoughtfully and focusing on some other goals.
My parents are moving to southern California sometime at the beginning of 2008 and my mom wants me to put their dog on Craigslist… but I am thinking that with a little bit of charm and finagling I will be able to convince my boyfriend that we really want the dog instead… yes, this can work.
