I have been very slooooowly working toward this over the years taking just a single class at a time and have even taken some semesters off. I had hoped to finally complete the program this year but I got into a car accident that interrupted my plans. At least I was able to get one more class under my belt, one that is hard to get as it is rarely offered since the budget cuts.
Now my 2012 goal is to receive my certificate and it looks like I'll be able to COMPLETE the program THIS SEMESTER!! A class that is usually only offered in the fall is being offered this spring!! And I was able to register for the high demand class! I am enrolled in my last three classes!!

To achieve this goal I will have to purchase heels that are well built and comfortable, so that I can actually spend more than 20 minutes standing in them. ;) and heels such as wedges, espardrilles (sp?), and anything that can dress up an everyday outfit without looking like a street walker or one of the “real housewifes” (no offense to the real housewives or street walkers). ;)
Post Script: the crazy stilletos pictured, that I purchased for my 30th birthday dinner, are a great example of what NOT to wear on a daily basis. But they are ridiculously fun and I had to post them! ;)

I have always been someone who’s weight fluctuates a lot, not from dieting but from a thyroid condition I have. This has resulted in me not liking to go clothes shopping and frequently gaining weight and my clothes not fitting properly. When I’m at my thinner size I don’t mind shopping so much, at my larger size, I hate it. I generally fluctuate between a couple of different sizes, it’s not a huge difference, but enough to not fit into my clothes at the larger size.
I think I’m finally getting my thyroid meds at the right level for me, so this is the perfect time to get my weight under control and start to build a wardrobe that actually fits! I think it will help my self confidence to have clothes for every occasion that fit well. It’s not about being my ideal weight (although that would be even better!) It’s about being ok with myself at the size I am and not waiting for the number on the scale to drop.
