But I’m trying again next year. I wrote sporadically, usually associated with emotional events. I have thought of going back into facebook or emails and reconstructing the year because it bothers me to have blank pages.
At any rate I have my journal ordered for next year and can’t wait for it to come in. Letts has a great daily journal in a manageable 5×8 format that’s been a good prompt in previous years.

Setting the reminders really helped, and I learned a lot about my spending this past year. It really helped me stay on track for cutting down on eating out. I’m going to recycle this one and keep it going in 2012. :-)

For some time now I have been concerned that I was essentially journaling into the ethernet when I posted a status on Facebook or tweeted. My journal was going unused.
I recently found this app for my iPhone called “Momento”, and was thrilled. Not only can I write little notes on the go when I don’t have my journal, but I can also pull in my FB status entries, tweets, and RSS feeds (including 43Things!). I can also take photos and paste them to the entries.
It’s a great memory jog, and I can fill in some of the blanks by printing out and pasting entries into my journal for those days where I don’t recall what happened (and sometimes this is as recently as the past week).
