It took a couple of tries, and finally getting weed out of the house completely, but I haven’t smoked a bowl in more than a week…which may not sound like much but it’s an eternity for someone whos smoked as much as I have the past couple of years. I don’t have anything against maryjane, i don’t plan on quiting forever-once i’ve gotten over my addiction i think i’ll allow myself to buy a gram here and there, maybe once a month or so…but I never want to smoke like that again. Aside from the insomnia (its 3:11 am right now :P) and my moodiness the past few days, I feel a lot better. I feel sharper, my memory is noticably better, and I actually want to do things again-i’m not always drawn to the couch or the refridgerator when i get home from work.
What’s been the most helpful in quitting is having Geoff quit with me, having that extra support to give me strength when I start to give up.
Life is just a bit harder to bear now that I’m not in a pleasant haze all of the time, but harsh or not it’s reality, and I had to face it at some point.
To all of my fellow quitters- keep at it, give sobriety a chance, you might like it. :)

Start taking some courses on what I'm interested in

Photography, jewelry making, painting, writing, dog grooming for all I care…There are a lot of things I’m good at, I just need to nurture those skills a little bit , put a little bit of time and money into them. I can’t keep expecting to enjoy making money if I don’t become the best at what I enjoy. :)
Even just a little bit...

I’ve worked a lot on the way I eat over the past couple of years, and I’ve lost 70 lbs this past year because of it! Now I just need to start excercising everyday-I want to feel stronger and more energized, and I know that if I keep at it I’ll start to really notice a difference in the way I feel. :)
