I’ve been between jobs for the last two weeks and won’t be starting my new job until the 23rd so I am trying to take this time to focus on exercise. I am walking 20 – 30 minutes with my dog every day, 20 minutes of yoga every other day (starting today I’m going to increase this to 40 minutes because the 20 minute routine is getting too easy). I also started doing cardio kickboxing videos once or twice a week. I haven’t lost any weight or noticed a visible change in my body yet, but I do notice that I feel stronger and have noticed that I don’t get tired or winded as easily. I really hope that I can keep this up once I start my new job.

How I did it: I just woke up one morning and realized that I didn't enjoy smoking anymore. I put down the cigarette I had in my hand and haven't smoked since. I feel so much healthier, and I love going shopping to spend the money I'm saving on new clothes and fun things for my house! Read how I did it…
I was actually revisiting old goals and saw this one that I had “given up”. Since then I adopted a sweet pitbull from the local shelter who seems to have been abused or mistreated in some way. Diesel is 4 now and I couldn’t have found a better friend! He’s adjusted so well from his start as a scared puppy who hid from everything. Now he loves being around people! Honestly, he drives most of our friends crazy with his constant need for attention, either petting or playing.
I realized when I went to the beach this year that for the first time I felt like a stuffed sausage in my bathing suit. By next summer, I do not want to feel that way! I’m not setting a specific weight loss goal, but I know that if I exercise daily and become healthier my weight will reflect that.
