Don’t you hate when people interject these “personal” remarks in to the flow of a perfectly good meeting? It drives me crazy. I especially can’t stand the remark after the closing prayer, “-If you work it.” Blame, blame, blame. It’s a program of progress, a-hole!

I am working a 4th step in both A.A. and Al-Anon, right now. Can you tell? I still have lots of resentment. My goal, to get enough higher power in my life to sponsor a newcomer.

I love the Program and I am one of those who can honestly say my quality of life has improved ten-fold since I started working the… -Damn. It does work, if you work it!

A few months ago, I had to drag myself to take the twins to their paintballing birthday party. All I wanted to do was watch TiVo and blog on my PowerBook. The boys all got welts from the game of paintball. They hated it. I loved it.

I secretly nursed this desire, obsessing late at night in the glow of the 12-inch flat-panel, studying FAQs and pro-forums, haunting, hunting. For my birthday, Ror ordered me my first marker on e-bay. I took it out on Saturday and had a blast.

I hope my legs stop hurting by Friday, because i’ll be out there this Saturday!
