How I did it: It takes discipline to truly handle this "thing".Lack of sleep is terrible. And it's very hard to overcome.First I had to try a bunch of tricks: Work out more to exhaust myself. Kinda worked. No caffeine drinks after 1 PM. Very hard.  Go to bed at the same time every night. Get up at the same time every morning. Nearly impossible. Reduce stress. How to buy a new bed
It took me

It made me
so happy

How I did it: First thing I did was move.Out of state. New house, new town, new and improved bedroom. Couldn't possibly start a new life with the same old bed that provided me little rest. I tested out a lot of beds. Was ill-prepared for the whopping price at first so had to abandon searches a couple of times. Then went out, with a list of bed brands I liked, stores that carried it, and a budget.  Read how I did it…

Oakland --so many places to be entertained! 2 years ago

Oakland’s Chinatown: seems like every time I’m there for dim sum, the neighborhood is having some kind of outdoor festival. I was just there last weekend and we all stumbled onto the the arts and crafts fair. Firecrackers, singers and dancers were on every corner.

Oakland Museum: First Fridays of the month the museum has outdoor cinema screenings. Last month I saw GUMBY DHARMA about Art Clokey, the creator of Gumby cartoons.

The first Tuesday of the month, there’s free documentary screenings inside the museum and tonight it’s PLEASE VOTE FOR ME.

I love Oakland!
