i did what i planned to do this weekend – had a 30 min run (interval training style) on Sunday, and yoga this morning. After the run I felt a lot more upbeat than normal – i found myself laughing a lot. Does anyone else get that after cardio? Is it a hormone thing?

How I did it: I really struggled with this as TV is my biggest addiction. But I knew that it was eating me alive. So I psyched myself up for a while, setting a date for the end of my TV watching (all based around a storyline on Eastenders). Once this came about, I took the plunge and cancelled the cable. the first week was really hard, and I spent too much time on youtube and also watching bad terrestrial tv. How I did it: 1. decide what time you need to get up on workdays.2. get up at that time EVERY DAY - including saturdays and sundays, even if you are exhausted and have been out till 2:30am the night before3. do what you need to do to stay awake - exercise, watch tv whatever UNTIL.....4.the days you are really tired, have a nap of no more than 30 minutes, before 2pm 5. if you're REALLY tired, have a cup of coffee just before your nap (caffeine… Read how I did it…

this is another goal that is getting kicked into first gear this weekend (wow, mixed metaphors or what!) am going to start running and doing yoga every second day, so that i don’t tighten up. will start with the running tomorrow. easy does it, but gotta start some time!
we’re doing this much better now. we went on the south beach for a couple of weeks which kickstarted a healthy approach to brekkie and lunch which was my big issue. I’ve had to travel for the last few weeks which has put that out again, but this weekend should change that, and after a big shop tonight, i should be on track again!
