I’m right on the border of Mexico (even though that isn’t exactly the nicest place to go). I’ve been here all my life yet I’ve never stepped a foot outside this country. Canada, Mexico… Europe?

How I did it: With the help of my dad, we went online and looked through several names in the census, researched them, and found other people related to us. We looked at my Gran and Grandad's old things, like the family bible (the names you get from there help a lot, duh). It took a lot of time but it's worth it. I wrote a full journal (filled it up in exactly a year) and I love going back through it and reading about how I felt and how different I seemed back then. I like noticing how I matured since then. I just started a new one at the beginning of the year, and I’m looking forward to finishing it! It’s something everyone needs to try.
P.S. Don’t get frustrated if you miss a day, or a week or even a month. And don’t even tear out pages; it’s all part of how you’ll look back and see how you were feeling or what you thought. (:
