So in an attempt to get my toeside turns strengthened and get some nice S turns going, I decided to break down and take a lesson my last trip of the year. After about 10 runs with an instructor I was able to make over 20 connecting turns in 1 pass on a decently steep slope. It was a great accomplishment. I found that slush is a great condition to practice your turns in. I later went up to the top of the mountain where I attempted the same turns on hard frozen ice/snow and proceeded to fall headfirst backwards twice. Needless to say, I still need practice on them, but I know Im capable of getting it down.

I first heard about Wahoos Fish Taco while watching a special on Food TV. They did a special on Fish Tacos and Cali/Baja style food. At first I thought Wahoos was only found on the California Coast, but on a trip to Vegas I stumbled upon a Wahoo’s restaurant while walking the strip. My next trip back to Vegas I was devastated to see that Wahoos was abandoned and closed. I missed my chance the first time around.
So now 2 years later.. Ive had fish tacos at like 6 places. I try them everywhere I find them. I was searching google for new places to eat Fish Tacos, when I found out there was a Wahoo’s Fish Taco in my own state, 90 miles from me..
Today I needed to make a trip to Austin Texas to buy stuff for my business. While in Austin I found Wahoo’s. While the fish tacos werent the best Ive ever had, disapointingly, the enviroment was great. It had the whole Skateboarder/Snowboarder/Surfboarder vibe going. Burton, Anon, Volcom stickers everywhere, wallsize posters of surfboarders and snowboarders, this place would kick ass at a ski resort.
The price was good, about $6 for 2 tacos ahi rice and black beans. The rice and beans was great, the tacos were so/so. I had the blackened fish. Maybe nexttime I’ll try the shrimp tacos and enchiladas.
Overall it was a worthwhile experience, and I will definitely go back for a meal again.

Last month I took a 3 day trip to Las Vegas, with the only reason being to do photography. I walked the city shot over 800 photos of fountains, buildings, plants, statues, neon lights. It was great, when I returned back I got a chance to look at all the photos and see where I needed improvement, what manual settings I need to get better at setting, and what types of photography I enjoyed more than others.
