A little over 3 years and 1 surgery later, my braces are off! Unfortunately, even with retainers, I can feel my jaw and teeth shifting. Here’s hoping it’s nothing too serious.

How I did it: I started out running string through a pair of tennis balls and whirling them around. In hindsight, I don't recommend that at all, tennis balls hurt! I learned the very basics myself, then started taking classes offered at a local yoga studio. The teacher not only taught us proper technique and moves, but also fire safety and fuel info. After not too long I started co-teaching the classes, and started spinning for friends at parties. … Read how I did it…
Took a long while to figure out what I was doing (and man did my ass hurt), but once I got the hang of it, it was so much fun!
Talked to a dentist and surgeon about it this week. Turns out I need jaw surgery (at least one session) and braces for 12 to 18 months. I’m not too happy about the braces, but I’m glad that something can be done to fix everything.
So come the end of the semester, I get my wisdom teeth taken out and an expander put into my jaw.
