run a half marathon (read all 3 entries…)
Completed....ages ago! 4 months ago

Not been on the site for an age. Completed 3 half marathons since. The Nottingham race went like a dream. A year later, after a load more 10Ks, I did the Worksop half, which was tough but not a problem.
Clowne Half – knee packed up after nine miles and didn’t run for 6 months. Still finished in an OK time (2 hours, 1 min)cos I walked the last four miles quickly and I’ve just done my first 10K since.
Feels amazing to do one of these. Really proud of myself, y’know!

declutter my house
A bit of success 2 years ago

Had time off with the kids in the summer holidays. Had a day in the shed and the attic and bought some new shelving units to tidy up all the books in the dining room, kitchen, attic, bedro – the whole house!

The shed was full of the empty boxes of all the stuff we’ve bought – trampolines, circular saws, tools so the boxes went to recycling and suddenly there’s all this space in the shed. Then my son went and bought a sit up bench, stating “Well, i’ll keep it in the shed.” Over my dead body….......

Attic – more boxes of stuff that we moved from the old house – sorted and dumped. Old computers, scanners, printers, monitors went onto Freecycle – got someone coming tomorrow.

Clothes got given to smaller children we know.

The place is still full of old crap we’ll never use, but it looks better. I can’t believe I can get in the shed…...........

stay away from Ebay (read all 2 entries…)
It's not just me, then. 2 years ago

It’s only CDs with me, really.

I’m not doing bad, but Christmas is coming up and last year it was sooooooooo easy to buy presents off the net.

The main reason I wanted to stop it was to save money, so I kinda have a new thing – I only look at CDs that are £1.00 or less and buy them. I’m breaking one rule without really breaking the other.

Who am I bleedin’ kidding?
