I’m back in my college town and I met up with a lot of people who I haven’t seen in years. Lots of people are just as wonderful as before. Jill and her nice smile, Maria Beatriz and her kindness; Dr. Kennell (he’s a Dr. now?) and his practicality (and attempts at humor); Dr. Mahler and her great advice; Masao. And Seiko! Even though she didn’t recognize me at first!! It was great to see everyone again.

I know what you’re thinking “yeah right, whatever.” It’s the same thing I’d think if it hadn’t happened to me. But while sitting in Notre Dame, God said to me quite clearly that I will be ok. I don’t know what he meant (health, money, safety, future) but I think he meant for everything. Of course I still worry. But I take comfort in the fact that He’s got my back. And He’s put in my life the most wonderful, supportive family and great friends who are always there for me.
