How I did it: 1. I read the Book Working with Emotional Intelligence and implemented several key improvements.2. I read books on breathing and implemented the techniques and practice them daily and especially when I feel negative stress.3. I slowed down. I did stop to smell the roses, and the tulips and examine the trees and watch the skies with the passing clouds. I make a point of doing these things daily.4. I move… Read how I did it…
Early to bed
Early to rise
Makes a “person”
Healthy, wealthy and wise.
Get at least 7 hours of sleep. If you have to get up at 7 that means midnight. Then add 40 minutes to insure your well rested and get to bed on time. So if I need to get up at 6 then I go to bed 7 hours and Forty minutes before then and no later than seven hours before then—thus, 10:20 PM (and no later than 11PM), to rise promptly at 6 AM.
Use productive naps. Set an alarm. Sleep for an hour and get up and move-move-move. Don’t nap if you have only four hours before you plan to go to bed. Just work to get done what you need to accomplish and either go to bed on time or try for a few minutes earlier.
Use the bed for sleep. Not for work or for eating. Sleep in a well ventilated place that is dark and at a slightly chilled temperature.
Rise immediately upon the alarm and try to rise at the same time Every day. On a Sunday, I may et up at 6 and have a late morning nap, but get up as scheduled and at a regular hour.
Move—exercise within 20 minutes of rising. Do some simple Yoga. Walk up and down the stairs for a few minutes. Drink cool clear water. Look at you list of activities for the upcoming day. Check the weather, or read the paper but don’t dawdle. Move. the arly part of the day is the most productive part of the day.
