Ok, I still haven’t sent a 5.9 on sport lead outside but I’m leading 9s and 10as easily in the gym, and starting 10bs. So I just need to get outside and do this to check it off. Hopefully I can do that soon!

How I did it: Many sports helped tone in general, but nothing has matched gym climbing. A salsa partner the other night even asked, do you work out, as my waist and stomach are quite firm. There's more I want to do, but I re-upped my gym membership through the end of June so I'm pretty sure I'll keep getting more core strength. The great part is, climbing is so fun, much more fun than crunches! Read how I did it…
How I did it: I started this over a year ago, when I was at my maximum weight of 125. I've gotten up there more than once, but always can get back down to 120 if I try to exercise more and eat more conciously for a few months. Doing a lot of outdoor sports (trail running, climbing, hiking, snowshoing, snowboarding) regularly helped get me to 120. An 8 day backpacking trip trimmed even more so that I was at 115 by Christmas. It's… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I'd been reading this book on and off since July 2007. I'd been doing some the exercises and thinking about the ideas but not doing all the exercises and not quite finishing. So I decided to read it all the way, then go back and do the exercises one by one. I'm listening to it on mp3 now from the beginning, to keep me motivated. Read how I did it…

I’ve gotten an appointment with a counselor here in town for my days off. She also meets with people evenings and weekends, which is great. I looked at her website and I think she and I are on the same page about positive change, living with meaning, and even firm/kind parenting. A first step.
The fact that I took a long time to get the referal and make the appointment should tell me something. I am stuck for some reason…
But I’m doing it, moving forward.
It’s been a long time since I made my last entry and I haven’t yet gotten back to regular meditation.
I need it, and I know I need it, so I just bought two affirmations cds by Susan Jeffers and one guided meditiaton by Jon Kabat-Zinn. All three for less than one therapist visit : )
I think I will use these on the bus as I commute, or before bed.
