How I did it: I started this when I started online banking because I didn't want to have a bankbook anymore.  When I had my bankbook I would write in it what each expense was for to make sure I didn't get charged for something I didn't pay for.  But with online banking I can't do that.  So I then made a spreadsheet with Excel for both my checking account and Visa bill so I can verify that what I'm charged for matches my receipt.  I … Read how I did it…

How to read a book in a day

How I did it: The book I read in one day was Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.  It came out July 21 and the next day was my birthday.  My uncle was coming over on the 21 so I had to read it all before he came or else I would be very anxious as to how it ended!  Coincidentally, I work in a bookstore thus I spent the morning selling Harry Potter 7.  I got home at noon and I read until my uncle came later that night.  If I rec… Read how I did it…

I looked over my list, and realised that some of these books I really won’t ever read. For instance, the Da Vinci Code is only on my list because my parents said I should read it. But really, I don’t want to read it. So I will take those sort of books off my list. I have decided not to create a new list. I am Tarklandoura on shelfari and my list of books I plan to read is technically on there. Plus, I tend to have a whole lot of books I want to read but I and a lot of the time a book I’ve been wanting to read for say two years gets put on hold for a book I just bought and really, really want to read.
