He left for Germany two days ago. He went home with Lynn, a foreign exchange student, who promised to take good care of him. I can’t wait to hear from her! I bet he is having lots of fun with her! This is Dexter’s first trip out of the country! We are so excited for him!
A few weeks ago, she was going to make honey bbq wings. I asked if I could do it, so she told me what to do and she let me do pretty much everything. (except put them in the grease. She’s afraid I’ll burn myself) She said I did a great job, and that the wings turned out great! She said she was very proud of me.
I helped with Christmas dinner yesterday, but it was crowded in our house, so I didn’t get to do much. I like helping my mom cook, though. It’s a lot of fun!
My appointment is in a couple of weeks. I can’t wait. My regular doctor did give me some stuff that got rid of the spot on my leg. So I’m happy about that. I guess I have to be careful with it, though. It has steroids in it, so I can’t use to much or it will stop working, and it thins out my skin. So hopefully that spot doesn’t come back, so I don’t have to use it again. Mom says it’s important that I be able to use the steroid cream when I need to, so not to overdo it so it won’t work anymore! It’s really too bad, too, because it works really good at helping my skin. But hopefully the dermatologist will help a lot!
is currently in South Dakota. He won’t be there long. He went to meet his new host, who is taking him with her to Germany in two days! I am so excited for him. He will be going on his first international trip!!!!

I have one postcard from California. Although I got it before I started this goal, it was from one of the members doing this goal, who returned a postcard after I sent her one! So I am counting it! (especially since it was such a great card)
I have an appointment for a dermatologist, but it’s not until next month. It’s the soonest they could get me in. Mom took me to our regular doctor yesterday for my rash, and he gave us a steroid cream to put on it, and some more lotion for my skin. The lotion doesn’t help much, but the cream seems to be helping the rash already, so I’m hopeful that it goes away soon. I can’t wait to see the dermatologist. The only thing I’m nervous about is that Mom wants to see if they will do another allergy test. I don’t really like needles, so I’m not looking forward to that. But I do want to do everything to get my skin back in good shape. Mom says this is the worst it’s been since I was 2. (apparently it was REALLY bad when I was little, but the dermatologist and allergist really helped her get it under control!)
I’m just tired of rashes, cracked and itchy skin, peeling hands and feet and everything else. I just want it to be halfway normal again! So I hope this guy is as good as the one she took me to when we lived in VA.
and I hate it. A lot of days it’s not to bad, but with winter approaching, it has gotten worse. And now I have a rash on my leg that won’t go away. My mom is calling the dr. but he never helps with my skin. She’s hoping to get me in to a dermatologist, because last time I saw one, he helped a lot! Keeping my fingers crossed!
I brought my grades up, but still no straight A’s. We got our mid-term report the other day. I brought one of my B’s up to an A, but I still have 3 more to bring up! Gonna have to work harder before report cards come out!!
Dexter was home for Thanksgiving, where he got to meet Ripley for the first time. We took him with us to Nebraska for Thanksgiving dinner. Dexter and Ripley had a great time together. It was shortlived, though, as Ripley had to leave for her first trip, and Dexter had to come home and get ready for his next trip. Dexter is now on his way to Nampa, ID. He is very excited about his trip, and can’t wait to email us back home to tell us about his exciting adventures!
Dexter has arrived safely in New Jersey. We can’t wait to see what fun things he gets to see there!

I’ve wanted to do this since I was 5, and I still do. I have my school picked out, and have gone to every paleontological site that is close to me. I even got to see Sue when they had her here on tour! I would love to go on a real dig, and my mom promises that she will take me on one real soon!! I can’t wait until I graduate and get to college!!
Last year, I was chosen to be a student ambassador for People to People. We were supposed to go to Australia and one of our stops was the Australia zoo. I was so excited, because Steve Irwin was my hero, and I was crushed when he died. I wanted to go see his memorial.
Well, they overbooked the trip, and at the last minute cut several students from the group. You guessed it, I was one of them. I was so dissapointed! My mom & I worked so hard to raise the money for the trip, and I never got to go. I still want to go so badly. Hopefully one day I can go.
Mom & Dad were supposed to take us to the drive-in, but when we went, they only had it on Wednesday nights, so we could go. (Mom said we couldn’t stay up that late on a school night) So we had to watch something else, and I still haven’t got to see this movie. Mom really wants to see it too, though, and last year Dad bought her #2 for Christmas, so if it comes out on DVD before this Christmas, he will probably get her that one, too! That would be cool, because then I would finally get to see it!
I have a few years before I need to worry about this, but Mom says it’s never too early to start making a good impression. I’ve been working really hard on my grades. My teacher told my mom last night that he thinks I’m going to do something spectacular with my life, because I work so hard! That really made me feel good and made me want to work even harder!
so many times. I just can’t seem to get those two B’s up to A’s. I really want just one report card with all A’s.
I can’t do it this year, because I just missed out on the honor roll this quarter. (got one too many B’s) I am going to try to make it the rest of the year.
