I love to read, but I have a problem: I’m not always so good with branching out and reading new books. This must change, as long as it doesn’t involve torture, anguish, or Twilight. (Sorry, Twilight fans, I’ve tried reading it. I really did.)

How I did it: I just went into the test rooms and did the tests. The nerves at the beginning really are the worst part. Essentially, if you can conquer your nerves, you'll do really well: I got a 24 on my ACT and an 1850 on my SAT. Both are above-average scores, and both are more than adequate for college. How I did it: First, I found a good stable: The horses are well-loved and taken care of, plus most are or were show horses (the owner competes in the national show circuit; when I called her to set up my first appointment, she was in Florida, competing), the stables are clean, and the instructors are friendly and knowledgeable.Second, I made a budget: Each lesson costs $25, which is more than reasonable. (Some pleasure-riding stables charge up to $100 … Read how I did it…
How I did it: Through trial and error. But I'm done, I'm pretty sure I passed my classes, and I'm transferring to a new school this fall (Eastern Kentucky University). Read how I did it…

Two of my closest friends are moving to Kentucky to attend Eastern Kentucky University, and since they wanted to live off-campus in a 3-bedroom townhouse, they asked me if I wanted to go with them. It was too good of an opportunity to pass up, so later this summer, we’re all moving out of our parents’ houses. Yay!!! I’m asited!
I love bento: It’s a Japanese lunch-packing technique that’s like an art form. It’s sooooo cute, and if you do it right, it’s healthy! I already follow several blogs about bento (Cooking Cute on LiveJournal, Lunch in a Box, and Bento TV), and I even have an adorable-beyond-all-reason bento box featuring Hello Kitty. Starting in January, I resolve to start packing more bento and taking them to school/work. No more caring about how other people will look at it; they might not be lovely at first, but they will get better the more I practice.
