Took a lot longer than expected (5 1/2 hours!), but got it done all at once by an incredibly talented artist and absolutely LOVE IT!
It’s actually quite a meditative experience even with the discomfort although I think you can’t fully appreciate what I mean unless you’ve gotten one yourself. And what I’ve heard is true (at least for me): although the thought of more than one hadn’t even entered my mind before this, I’m now thinking seriously about another…be forwarned, they’re addictive! :)
...well I had just gotten comfortable with V3s and trying out V4s (didn’t fully send any though, unfortunately) when I got minor tendonitis in one elbow, and then moved to Japan! lol.
Although I did hunt down some fellow climbers, until I get a car I won’t be climbing anything other than my stairs every morning (buildings are made out of paper and wood here, so builderings out as well..bummer). Really happy about the progress I made in the last year, though, and it makes me confident that I can only improve.
Really miss the rock though, heh, don’t fully appreciate how addictive the sport is until you can’t climb anymore. :(
