I have a general irrational impression that San Francisco transit will consistently get me lost until I spend an awful lot more time studying and practicing it than I think is worthwhile. Though I know it can’t possibly be this way, I apparently fear it for its mind-boggling complexity. Can you hear my mind boggling? LISTEN!
Instead of using transit at $1.50 a pop, I’ve been choosing to pay $8 cab fares. This should probably end before I lose my cherished right to bitch about how this city bleeds me dry.
So, goddammit, I’m resolving to start using transit, to get comfortable with it, and to ascend to godhood or something. Or maybe save some money. Both?

I want to learn Lua, beyond World of Warcraft. Hackin’ with Lua has been amazingly fun … and I bet knowing it independently of a particular API will look nice alongside Max and MEL script on my resume!

You know how it goes. The player character rolls into a decaying town patched together with scavenged aluminum siding and old tires, realizes there are no children here and wonders why. He witnesses a gunfight on the street, and is informed by a passerby of the town’s penchant for bloody vendettas that would cause even a Toshiro Mifune character to move on in search of a safer place to rest his weary feet. The player wanders into the city hall and is pegged (correctly) as an itinerant ne’er-do-well who’d be down for a dirty deed involving a few extra caps, so is informed that the NCR has an agent in town that could use a good firm bullet in the head. And so on and so forth! Plot, characters, dialogue trees, maps and encounters for everyone’s favorite post-nuclear role-playing game.
