Buy a spindle
Spindle!!

The other day I accomplished this goal and bought a 1.4oz Kundert drop spindle. It’s beautiful and I’m really enjoying playing around with it.

My face feels complete!

After much thought I did this a few weeks ago, and I love it! I feel like it suits my personality, as well as my features. It’s a little piece of personal expression, and was done solely for my own interest, not because of a trend.

I thought my parents would absolutely freak out, but they didn’t. Dad just remarked that perhaps I just didn’t have enough holes in my schnoz. Mom didn’t even notice it at first! Granted, when she finally did notice it, she started screaming… then she said it looked beautiful on me. :) I guess they’ve both just accepted the fact that I’m 21 and can make this sort of choice wisely.

If anyone in San Francisco is looking for a place to get this done, I can refer you to where I went. The vibe of it was relaxed, yet immaculately clean, and my piercer made me feel very comfortable.

For those who are worried – it didn’t hurt at all. The pain of it is really subjective when you get down to it, but for me the actual piercing felt just like popping a pimple – gross, but no worse than that. Just take deep breaths, remain calm, and trust that your piercer will do a good job. Good luck! :)

99% Sure...

I’ve been wondering about this since 9th grade (I’m 21 now), and wanting to do it since the summer. I know a reputable place to go and everything, but the only thing stopping me is the thought of a scar on my nose if I decide to take it out. My last piercing experience (ear cartilage) had less than wonderful results, i.e: the piercer was inexperienced and lined it up at an awkward angle so the jewelry didn’t fit. It didn’t heal well at all, and I would hate to react to this in the same way. But it looks so elegant – just a tiny little silver accent. Sigh… maybe I’ll do it on a whim as an end-of-the-semester gift.
