I am currently taking an Interpersonal Communication class with the hopes of being a better speaker and listener…although speaking doesn’t seem to be a problem. It’s the listening I have to work harder at, especially when I am dealing with business contacts in other countries. Their language and culture is different and I am always afraid I am going to offend by talking too much. So I need to be more attentive.

My teenage boys invited a bunch of their friends over for a Lord of the Rings Movie Marathon. They watched all 3 special edition movies back to back with breaks in between for trivia games and food. They had Minas Tirith Munchies, Shire Grog, Lothlorien Lembas, Orc brain, The Dead Marsh Mash, Uruk-hai Birth Pudding (Yum!), and even The One Ring Cake. It was a long party, beginning at noon and not ending till 1:00am, but everyone enjoyed it so much we are trying to think of some other movie marathons to host.
