I had a knee injury that will probably rule this one out for this year. But I’m determined to do it ASAP. Realistically this will take a fair bit of training to ensure the necessary stamina and probably this year there now isn’t enough time to train and have sufficient daylight to complete the trail. Unbelievably I’ve just heard the record has been set for cycling the South Downs Way and Back in a day!!! 22 hours – Unbelievable. I know how tough its going to be to do this one way in a day (about 14 hours in the saddle with very few breaks – probably harder than a marathon ). So to do the trail there and back within 24 hours is nothing short of awesome!
I love painting so much and yet I haven’t done it for years. It’s almost as though I’ve been waiting to have the time and focus to do justice to the noble practice. I have always felt I can do great things with a brush and I’ve been waiting for the clear space to start. But, of course, that clear space will never arrive unless I make it. Now I have moved into my new apartment in Wimbledon and I don’t like the blank walls. What better than to start painting to create works to adorn the walls of my new apartment? Suddenly, now I’ve decided to start, I’m not so sure the results will be great. We shall see…
